Abstract:
Fine flake graphite composite seal plates were prepared using grouting forming based on the study of flow performance of graphite slurry. And the properties of composite seal plates affected by the contents of organic binder and fine flake graphite were investigated. The results show that the tensile strength, compression rate and resilience rate of the fine flake graphite composite seal plates decreased with the increase of fine flake graphite content. The tensile strength of fine flake graphite composite seal plate increased firstly and then decreased, but the compression rate and resilience rate decreased with the increase of mass ratio of phenol-formaldehyde resin to polyvinyl butyral. When the mass ratio of ethanol to polyvinyl butyral was 5:1, the mass fraction of fine flake graphite was 50%, the mass ratio of phenol-formaldehyde resin to polyvinyl butyral was 6/15, the tensile strength, compression rate and resilience rate of prepared fine flake graphite composite seal plate were 9.2 MPa, 8.8% and 46%, respectively, in accordance with ASTM standards.
