Abstract:
Intergranular corrosion test was carried on TIG and PAW welded joints of Incoloy825 alloy according to ASTM A262-E, and the intergranular corrosion resistance of the two kinds of welded joints was compared by corrosion rate, back bending property and corrosion morphology. The results show that the average corrosion rate of PAW and TIG welded joints were 0.156 6 g·m-2·h-1 and 0.229 3 g·m-2·h-1, respectively. No cracks were found on the tensile surface of the two kinds of welded joint after back bending. For the TIG welded joint, the grains located in the heat affected zone near to the fusion line were coarse, and fine carbides precipitated on grain boundaries. For the PAW welded joint, the grains located in the heat affected zone near to the fusion line had not obvious growth, and the grains size in PAW welded joint was larger than that in TIG welded joint.
