    Research Progress of Free-Cutting Unleaded Bismuth Brass for Sanitary Ware Industry

    • 摘要: 从产业化角度,综述了卫浴行业用无铅易切削铋黄铜的研究进展,重点介绍了铋硒黄铜、铋锡黄铜和铋铝黄铜等3种铋黄铜的化学成分、性能和生产应用情况。铋黄铜可部分替代传统铅黄铜用于卫浴五金产品,其较成熟的生产方法有铸造、直接机加工、冷弯,而热冲压、热锻、焊接等方法还有待进一步的研究。今后的研究重点应集中在改善铋黄铜的热冲压性能上。

       

      Abstract: The research progress of free-cutting unleaded bismuth brass for sanitary ware industry is summarized from the point of industrialization. The chemical composition, property and practical production of three types of bismuth brasses including bismuth-selenium brass, bismuth-tin brass and bismuth-aluminum brass are highlighted. The bismuth brass can partially replace the traditional lead brass for the sanitary ware products. The relatively mature production methods are casting, direct machining and cold bending, while the methods such as hot stamping, hot forging and welding still remain to be further studied. The future research should be focused on the improvement of the hot punching property of bismuth brass.
