Abstract:
B10 copper alloys with different Y contents were prepared in vacuum mid-frequency induction furnace. The influences of Y contents on microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy were studied by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, tensile testing,Vickers hardness testing and electrochemical testing. The results show that Y could significantly refined the grain and increased tensile strength and hardness of the alloy. The grain size first decreased and then increased a little, the strength and hardness first increased and then decreased a little, the plastic changed little with the increase of Y contents. The adhesive force between the surface film and the B10 copper alloy matrix increased, the corrosion resistance was improved by a trace addition of rare earth Y. With the increase of Y content, the erosion corrosion rate first decreased and then increased a little, the charge transfer resistance Rt and the film resistance Rf first increased and then decreased a little.
