    Corrosion Failure Analysis of Heat Exchanger Tubes in Delayed Coking Unit

    • 摘要: 用金相、SEM和EDS等方法对延迟焦化装置中碳钢换热器管的腐蚀穿孔进行了失效分析.结果表明:腐蚀产物主要为铁的氧化物/氢氧化物和氯化物,换热器管穿孔是由吸氧腐蚀造成的;循环水除氧不彻底是造成吸氧腐蚀导致穿孔的根源,冷却水中的氯离子加速了腐蚀的进程;控制水中的氧含量是预防换热器管腐蚀的关键.

       

      Abstract: Pitting corrosion failure of the carbon steel heat exchanger tubes in delayed coking unit was analyzed with optical microscope,scanning electronic microscope(SEM) and energy diffraction spetroscope(EDS).The results showed that the corrosion products mainly consisted of oxide/hydroxide and chloride of iron.It was oxygen absorption corrosion that resulted in the pitting of the tubes.Oxygen remained in the circulating water was responsible for the oxygen absorption corrosion and chloride in the cooling water accelerated the corrosion process.So key measure to prevent the corrosion of the heat exchanger tubes is controlling the oxygen content in the water.
