Abstract:
A novel technique of fabrication HA porous scaffolds with improved mechanical strength and controllable porous structure was reported. The pore morphology, size, and distribution of the scaffolds were characterized using a electron microscope. The porosity of the open pores in the scaffold could be controlled by numbers of replication cycle and it is between 45%-92%.Meanwhile,the aperture of the open pores in the scaffold is dependent on both numbers of replication cycle and the pore dimension of the polymeric sponge template. The porous biomaterial is proved to have a good compatible by vitro cellular assay. The osteoblast-like cells are attached and spreaded well throughout the porous scaffold.
