    Effect of Heat Treatment Process on Microstructure and Properties of New Type Cold Work Die Steel SDC90

    • 摘要: 为了确定SDC90新型高强韧冷作模具钢的热处理工艺,采用光学显微镜、洛氏硬度计和冲击试验机等对其显微组织、硬度和冲击性能进行了研究,并与Cr12MoV钢进行了对比.结果表明:SDC90钢中的莱氏体、碳化物比Cr12MoV钢的更细小、分布更均匀;经1 040 ℃淬火和210 ℃回火后,其硬度与Cr12MoV钢的相当,而冲击功却是它的2倍;该钢经1 080 ℃淬火和540 ℃回火后,其硬度和冲击功均高于Cr12MoV钢的;该钢的高硬度与良好的强韧性配合可大大提高模具的使用寿命.

       

      Abstract: The microstructure,hardness and impact property of a new type cold work die steel SDC90,compared with Cr12MoV steel,were studied by using optical microscopy,Rockwell hardness tester and impact test machine for determining the optimum heat treatment process.The results show that ledeburite and carbides in the SDC90 steel were finer and distributed more uniformly than those in Cr12MoV steel.After quenching at 1 040 ℃ and tempering at 210 ℃,the hardness of SDC90 steel was equal to that of Cr12MoV steel,while the impact energy of the SDC90 steel was almost twice as high as that of Cr12MoV steel.After quenching at 1 080 ℃ and tempering at 540 ℃,the hardness and impact energy of the SDC90 steel were both higher than those of Cr12MoV steel.The service life of the steel was prolonged due to good combination of the high hardness,strength and toughness.
