Abstract:
W-15Cu composite powders prepared by mechanical alloying of raw powders were consolidated by hot-pressing sintering process, and the influences of sintering process on the properties of W-15Cu alloy were investigated. The microstructure and properties of the alloy were studied by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM),Vickers hardness tester, etc. The W grains were homogeneously dispersed in copper phase.W-15Cu alloy consolidated by hot-pressing sintering at temperature 1 500 ℃ for 2 hours and under a pressure of 30 MPa could reach 99.8% relative density,1290.6 MPa of transverse rupture strength (TRS) 44.8 HRC of Rockwell C hardness.
