    铝型材挤压模具开裂原因分析

    Analysis on Cracking Mechanism of the Mould for Aluminium Extruded Sections

    • 摘要: 铝型材挤压模具材料为H13钢,使用时间不足20 min发生开裂.利用光学显微镜、扫描电子显微镜和显微硬度计等对开裂模具进行了失效分析.结果表明:该模具主要是由于打磨操作不当产生裂纹,使用中铝屑进入裂纹,因铝坯和型腔面之间强烈的摩擦和挤压作用使铝屑温度升高熔化并发生氧化,体积膨胀并向内部挤入,造成模具开裂.

       

      Abstract: H13 mould steel for aluminium extruded sections cracked after being used for less than 20 minutes.Macro-examination,chemical composition analysis,hardness testing,microstructure examination and fracture analysis were carried out on the cracked mould.The results show that aluminiun swarf come into the grinding cracks produced during improper grinding process and,then temperature of the aluminiun swarf rise because of the rubbing and squeezing effects between aluminiun billet and cavity face,which led to the fusion and volume expansion of aluminiun swarf in the grinding cracks and resulte in final cracking of the mould.
