Abstract:
A structure of squaring source electrode was designed, and W-C dual penetration and deposition was carried out on the surface of 20 steel by double glow penetration metal technology, thus a surface ceramic penetration and deposition coating was obtained. The microstructure, chemical composition and phase constituent of the coating were analyzed by means of SEM and XRD. And the microhardness, the adhesion with matrix and abrasion resisting property of the coating were also tested. The results show that the thickness of the penetration and deposition coating was about 25 μm, which was composed of W2C, WC, W and Fe3W3C phase. The surface hardness of ceramic coating was up to 961.2 HV. The diffusion layer took on staircase distribution, and its adhesion with matrix was 46 N. The abrasion mass of ceramic coating was only one sixth of the matrix and the galling width of ceramic coating was narrower than the matrix. The abrasion mechanism of ceramic mainly was abrasive wear.
