Abstract:
Based on the thermodynamical analysis of Al-KBF4-K2TiF6-Na3AlF6 reaction system,the TiB2p/Al-10Sn composite was fabricated by the mixed salt reaction in-situ synthesis process.The phase composition,microstructure and hardness of the composite were investigated by means of XRD,SEM and sclerometer respectively.The results showed that there were α-Al,β-Sn and TiB2 phases in the composites.The in-situ TiB2 particles with mean size of 0.8-1.5 μm dispersed in the α-Al matrix homogeneously,and the agglomeration of TiB2 particles occurred in the interface between α-Al and eutectic β-Sn,which formed the structure of TiB2 particles wrapped by tin film.Compared with Al-10Sn matrix alloy,the composites had higher hardness.
