Abstract:
Cu-Zr alloys with different Zr content were prepared by mechanical alloying and cold pressing and sintering method, and the prepared composite powders were characterized using XRD and TEM.The effects of milling time, sintering temperature, soaking time and Zr content on the electrical resistivity, hardness and bending strength of the Cu-Zr alloys were investigated. The results show that with the increase of milling time, the main diffraction peaks intensity of the composite powders was reduced, diffraction peak intensity of Cu-Zr intermetallics was increased, the shape of the grains changed from sheet to approximative ball, and the electrical resistivity and hardness of the sintered alloy both increased gradually. The electrical conductivity of the alloy were increased by increasing sintering temperature and prolonging soaking time, but hardness of the alloy were reduced. With the increase of Zr content, electrical resistivity, hardness and bending strength of the Cu-Zr alloy all increased continuously.
