    Synthesis of TiB2/Al Composite by LSM

    • 摘要: 用LSM法制备了TiB2/Al复合材料,用XRD、SEM和图像分析软件考察了净化方式、冷却速度对复合材料相组成、TiB2颗粒分布的影响.结果表明:熔剂法精炼对复合材料中TiB2颗粒的分布无明显影响,精炼后TiB2含量基本保持不变;而浮游法精炼后未检测到TiB2颗粒,即普通铝合金采用的浮游法精炼工艺不适于复合材料的精炼;随着冷却速度加大,复合材料凝固组织细化,TiB2颗粒分布趋于均匀,颗粒团聚减少.

       

      Abstract: A TiB2/Al composite was synthesized by LSM method.The effect of purification method and cooling rate on the phase and the distribution of TiB2 particulates in TiB2/Al composite was analysed by means of XRD,SEM and image analysis.The flux refinement processes had no significant effect on the distribution of TiB2 in TiB2/Al composite and the content of TiB2 particulates remained the same after refined.However,inert gas refinement processes had a significant effect and TiB2 particulates were not found.That is to say,inert gas refinement processes which are adapted for conventional aluminum alloys are not suitable for the composites;With the increasing of the cooling rate,solidification microstructure became finer,the distribution of TiB2 particulates became more homogenous,and the agglomerated TiB2 particulates decreased.
