Abstract:
Polymer concrete (PC),with its good damping properties,is a kind of material suitable for elementary machine parts in machine tools for high-precision machining.However,mechanical properties of this material are not so good,which prevented it from being widely used.Orthogonal tests were carried out to prepare glass fiber reinforced polymer concrete with different proportions.Compression strength of the samples was measured.How the factors affect the compression strength of the materials was studied.The results show that length of glass fiber and glass fiber dosage have greater affections on compression strength than epoxy dosage,flexibilizer dosage and granite proportion.Length of glass fiber,glass fiber dosage and granite proportion have an optimum point on compression strength.Increasing dosage of epoxy resulte in the increase of compression strength.When flexibilizer dosage increased,compression strength first decrease and then increase.
