    Adsorption Property and Compressive Strength of Blocky Activated Carbon for Indoor Air Purification

    • 摘要: 为制备室内用可净化空气、低成本的块状活性炭, 采用生石油焦为吸附基体原料, 沥青为粘结剂, 氢氧化钾为活化剂, 添加适量陶瓷粉料, 经过碾磨混合、成型、隔氧炭化及化学活化制备出块状活性炭试样, 对不同试样进行了吸附性能和抗压强度的测试。结果表明: 当生石油焦、沥青、氢氧化钾的质量比为10∶2∶5时, 经混合模压成型, 在块状活性炭表面涂覆一层泡沫陶瓷浆料, 干燥炭化活化后所得块状活性炭试样对甲苯的吸附率为16.7%, 抗压强度为3.7 MPa, BET比表面积为592.46 m2·g-1, 总孔容为0.289 3 mL·g-1。

       

      Abstract: In order to prepare the low-cost blocky activated carbon for indoor air purification,the green petroleum coke was used as the adsorption matrix raw material, the asphalt as the binder and the potassium hydroxide as the activator. The blocky activated carbon samples with proper ceramic powders were prepared after mixing, forming, oxygen isolated carbonization and chemical activation.Adsorption properties and compressive strength tests were conducted on the different samples. The results show that when the mass ratio of petroleum coke,asphalt and potassium hydroxide was 10∶2∶5 and after compression molding as well as carbon-coated foam ceramic slurry on the prepared sample had a toluene adsorption rate of 16.7%, a compressive strength of 3.7 MPa, a BET specific surface area of 592.46 m2·g-1 and a total pore volume of 0.289 3 mL·g-1.
