Abstract:
OM,SEM,EDX and other techniques were used to analyze the porosity, microstructure and fractography of nano-composite Ti(C,N)-based cermets produced by spark plasma sintering(SPS).The mechanical properties of Ti(C,N)-based cermets produced in different conditions were discussed. At 1250℃ for 8min by elevating directly, fairly good mechanical performance could be obtained.Except the microstructure of black core/white rim, white core/black rim was also presented, which resulted from the existence of nano-powders which changed the evolution of microstructure. The fracture mainly originated from cavities and the intergranular fracture was the leading fracture mode, besides the cleavage fracture and transgranular fracture.
