Abstract:
Through designing the orthogonal experiment of three factors,i.e.,alloying elements:Sb,B and P,in two levels, the effects of these alloying elements on compacted graphite percentage,hardness,matrix,wear-resistance of RE-treated compacted graphite cast iron and the significance of factors and levels on the index were studied. The amount of added alloying elements was optimized to be 0.03%Sb,0.03%B and 0.25%P.The wear simulation tests, simulating cylinder liner and piston ring, indicated that the complex wear-resistance of the new low alloyed compacted graphite cast iron was increased by 17.56% than that of gray cast iron alloyed with Cr,Mo,Cu,B,P,and the production cost was reduced.
