    An Approach to Evaluating Cutting Performance of Indexable Coating Tools

    • 摘要: 尝试用自主设计的可转位涂层刀片(下简称涂层刀片)夹具, 使涂层刀片固定于UMT-2型摩擦磨损试验机上, 通过摩擦磨损试验模拟涂层刀片车削加工过程, 评价了TiAlSiN和TiAlCrN/TiAlN、刀尖圆弧半径0.4 mm和0.8 mm涂层刀片的切削加工性能。结果表明: 采用以上方法可有效评价涂层刀片的切削加工性能。

       

      Abstract: An indexable coating tool clamping fixture fixing the tools on the fiction and wear test machine UMT-2 was designed. The process of lathe tool cutting was simulated by fiction and wear test to evaluate the cutting performance of coating tools with coating TiAlSiN and TiAlCrN/TiAlN, tools corner radius of 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm. The results revealed that the cutting performance of coating tools could be evaluated efficiently using above approach.
