Abstract:
A new type of 6000 alloy with high plasticity was designed based on 6063 aluminium alloy.The mechanical properties,microstructure and fracture morphology of the alloy after casting,extrusion and heat treatment were analyzed by electronic universal testing machine,optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy,and then compared to 6063 alloy.The results show that the tensile strength of the 6000 alloy at T6 reached 282.0 MPa and elongation reached 21.7%,while at T4 184.3 MPa and 34.40%.To compared with 6063 alloy,the alloy at T6 had low yield ratio,which indicated that the plasticity of the new type alloy was superior.
