Abstract: With the method of documentary metrology,fund sponsored theses and their authors published in Materials for Mechanical Engineering journal during 2005-2009 were studied and quantificationally analyzed.The results show that 846 fund sponsored theses were published in 5 years of Materials for Mechanical Engineering journal,and the rate of funding covered 58.35% of every year was far above the rate of funding covered 42.93% of the same journal during 1997-2004.The authors of the fund sponsored theses distributed widely,whose institutions were main university.
