Abstract:
The roll-casting tests of 1060 aluminum alloy strip were performed by common symmetrical type method (without composite field) and asymmetric and sunken method (compound energy-field with ultrasonic and electromagnetic field). The effects of compound energy-field on microstructure and mechanical properties of the aluminum alloy strip were studied. The results show that, after the composite energy-field was applyed, the cast-rolling rate (range from 1.2 m·min-1 to 1.4 m·min-1) was increased by 30%, microstructure changed from columnar grains to even and fine equiaxed grains, and the tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and hardness were improved by 25.03%, 24.37%, 40.09%, and 10.95%, respectively.
