Abstract:
The development of waste rubber powder (WRP)/plastic blends is reviewed. The influences of species, particle size and content of the WRP as well as method of interface compatibilization on the mechanical properties of the WRP/plastic blends are introduced as key points. It is pointed out that enhancing the interface compatibility between WRP and substrate is the key of fabricating WRP/plastic blends with excellent performance. Finally, new directions for future research are proposed based on the problems in WRP/plastic blends.
