Abstract:
The effect of Ca,La,Sr addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of AZ91D alloy was analyzed by using X-ray diffraction,optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometer.The results show that the microstructure could be refined greatly by adding three elements of Ca,La and Sr,compared with that of adding two elements of Ca and La or Ca and Sr.The precipitated phase Mg17Al12 transformed from semi-continuous distribution to discrete.The tensile strength of the alloy was improved obviously,up to 201 MPa which increased 28.8% than that of AZ91D alloy.
