Abstract:
Ni powders with 5wt%, 10wt%, 15wt% and 20wt% were added to Cr2O3 powders, and then the mixed powders were sprayed on 20 steel surface to prepare Ni-Cr2O3 composite coatings by plasma spraying process, and the effects of nickel contents on phase composition, microstructure and corrosion resistance of the composite coatings were studied by X-ray diffraction, microscopic analysis, electrochemical test and salt fog test. The results show that the phase of the coatings was not changed and the corrosion resistance of the composite coatings increased first and then decreased with the increase of nickel content, the corrosion resistance of the composite coating with 15wt% Ni was the best.
