    Effect of Loading Rate on Tensile Fracture Behavior of Silicon Rubber

    • 摘要: 为研究硅橡胶的拉伸断裂行为,以不同的加载速率对硅橡胶进行了拉伸试验,对拉伸试样断口进行了扫描电镜观察,对硅橡胶的断裂特征形成原因进行了分析,并对实际构件进行了对比分析.结果表明:随着加载速率的增加,硅橡胶的强度呈上升趋势,断裂伸长率略有降低,性能分散性减小;加载速率较低时,源区光滑平坦,呈镜面断裂特征;当加载速率达到500 mm·min-1时,源区、镜面区断裂特征发生变化,出现了明显的二次裂纹,且随着加载速率的增加,裂纹扩展区更加粗糙.

       

      Abstract: To investigate the fracture behavior of silicon rubber,tensile tests at different loading rates of 10,100,200 and 500 mm·min-1 were conducted,and the fracture surface of tensile test pieces were observed by scanning electron microscopey (SEM).The tensile strength of silicon rubber increase and the tensile elongation at break decrease with the increases of loading rate.The property dispersivity decrease.When the loading rates are relatively low,the origination regions are smooth and exhibited mirror fracture characteristics.When the loading rate reache 500 mm·min-1,the fracture characteristic of origination region varied and the second cracks are obviously observed.The propagation regions of cracks become coarser with the increase of loading rate.The causes of the fracture characteristics are analyzed and analogical analysis was carried out with practical components.
