    Machinability of a New Free-cutting and Non-magnetic Die Steel

    • 摘要: 对YW新型易切削无磁模具钢和对比材料A50钢进行了热处理,并测试了其硬度、相对磁导率,在给定车削条件下进行车削试验,通过测试计算刀具的磨损量来表征钢的切削性能。结果表明:YW钢经固溶+时效处理后的硬度为42~43 HRC,相对磁导率为1.005~1.019,具有无磁、高硬度的特点;YW钢由于添加了易切削元素,在相同车削试验条件下,其刀具磨损量比A50钢的减少30%以上。

       

      Abstract: Hardness, relative permeability were tested on a new free-cutting and non-magnetic die steel YW and contractive material steel A50 after heat treatment. The wear loss of the cutting tools used for machining the steel YW and steel A50 was measured at the same cutting conditions so that the machinability of the steels were studied. Results show that the hardness of steel YW after solution and aging treatment was 42-43 HRC. The relative permeability was 1.005-1.019. The steel YW wasnon-magnetical and high hardness. Contractive steel A50, the wear loss of cutting tool machining steel YW was less over 30 percentage than that of cutting tool machining steel A50 based on the addition of free cutting elements.
