    Adiabatic Shear Bands of 4Cr5MoSiV1 Steel Formed by High Speed Cutting

    • 摘要: 对4Cr5MoSiV1钢进行了高速切削试验,利用光学显微镜和扫描电镜等观察了高速正交切削试验中切削速度变化对切屑形态和绝热剪切带(ASB)的微观结构特征的影响,对ASB形成和发展的影响因素进行了分析,并对ASB的尺寸与分布做了分析.结果表明:切削速度是ASB形成和发展的主要影响因素,随着切削速度的增加,ASB的长度和宽度逐渐减小,间距逐渐增大;刀具前角是影响ASB形成和发展的次要因素.

       

      Abstract: Experiments of high speed cutting were carried out on the hardened steel 4Cr5MoSiV1.The evolution of chip morphology changed with the cutting speed and the microstructural characteristics in adiabatic shear bands (ASB) were observed by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The main factors affecting forming and developing of ASB and the distribution of ASB under various cutting conditions were analyzed.The results indicate that the cutting speed was one of the main factors affecting forming and developing of ASB,and the length and the width of ASB reduced gradually with the increase of cutting speed,the distance between two ASBs increased gradually.The rake angle of cutting tool was the secondary factor affecting the forming and developing of ASB.
