Abstract:
CrAlN thin films was deposited on H13 steel surface before and after ionitriding, the corrosion resistance of CrAlN thin films in 3.5wt% NaCl solution was studied, and the surface morphology of thin films before and after corrosion was observed by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the corrosion resistance of H13 steel after depositing CrAlN thin films increased remarkably. The complex process of ionitriding and depositing CrAlN thin films made corrosion resistance of H13 steel increase further, and obvious corrosion pits and films desquamation had not found on H13 steel surface after polarization test.
