Failure Analysis of Fractured Bolts

摘要: 某螺栓在安装过程中有两个在螺纹牙底开裂.通过对螺栓裂纹及裂纹断口的宏观微观观察、显微组织和显微硬度检测,确定了裂纹性质;通过对螺栓在安装过程中的受力分析、扭拉试验、摩擦因数测定以及有限元数值模拟分析,确定了螺栓开裂原因.结果表明:螺栓裂纹性质为过载开裂,其主要原因是由于螺栓孔内残留的蓖麻油和TB06-9底漆使得螺纹旋合摩擦因数大大降低,螺栓在一定的扭矩下承受的轴向拉应力显著增加,从而导致螺栓开裂.Abstract: Two bolts fractured in the process of installation.Based on macro-observation,micro-observation,microstructure testing and microhardness testing,the fracture mechanism was confirmed.And based on loading analysis,ring-draw examination,friction coefficient testing and finite element analysis,the fracture cause was found.The fracture was caused by overload.Under the co-effect of castor oil and TB06-9 lacquer,the friction coefficient reduced greatly.As a result,the lognitudinal stress of bolts increased remarkably under a certain moment of torsion.Then the bolts fractured.
