Abstract:
The hot deformation behaviors of a self-developed zinc based alloy which could replace HPb59-1 brass used as structural pieces were investigated by means of the isothermal compression test. The flow stress of the zinc based alloy during isothermal compression decreases with temperature, and increase with the strain rate.Temperature is enhanced obviously with increasing the strain rate. The flow stress of the zinc alloy during isothermal compression can be described by Zener-Hollomon parameter model.
