Abstract:
The effects of the aging treatments parameters (aging temperature of 80-160 ℃, aging time of 3-9 h) on microstructure, specific capacitance and surfacial corrosion morphology of cathode foil of 3003 aluminum alloy were studiedd by means of electrical resisitivity measuring, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and specific capacitance testing. The results show that fine and dispersed MnAl6 intermetallic particles dominated in precipitated particles, as well as the distribution of dislocation after cooling was homogeneous, and the specific capacitance of cathode foil up to 580 μF·cm-2 when the foils were aged at 80 ℃ for 3 h. Afte the foils were aged at 160 ℃, the volume fraction of coarsened intermetallic (Fe, Mn)Al6 particles incseased and it led to poor corrosion property with heterogeneous etched pits, which was disadvantaqeous to improving specific capacitance.
