Abstract:
The 20-45 nm Ce4+ doped TiO2 was prepared by impregnation method and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),UV-visible reflectance spectra, and absorbance spectra in photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange(MO).The results show that cerium doping enhances thermal stability of nano-TiO2 up to 800 ℃.In phtocatalytic degradation of MO,after 90 min irradiation, the decolor rate of MO treated with 1.2% Ce4+ doped TiO2 is 94.7%,while that of pure nano-TiO2 is only 53.7% after 120 min.
