    Thermal Expansion Actuated Characteristics of Paraffin

    • 摘要: 为掌握石蜡的热膨胀驱动特性,采用水浴加热石蜡热膨胀特性试验装置研究了石蜡的体膨胀率与温度和压力的关系,压力对热膨胀特性的影响和不同成分石蜡熔点的变化情况.结果表明:当压力在0.36 MPa以下、温度从25 ℃升高到61 ℃时,石蜡的体膨胀率逐渐增大到13.2%,而且在熔点温度附近石蜡下的体膨胀率与温度几乎呈线性规律变化;在采用的弹簧压力下,压力对石蜡的热膨胀特性影响不大;可以根据系统对温度的要求来选择不同熔点的石蜡作为驱动器的热膨胀材料.

       

      Abstract: Thermal expansion actuated characteristics of paraffin were tested on apparatus heated by water bath and the relationship of volume expansion vs.temperature and pressure,the influence of pressure on thermal expansion characteristics,and the melting point of binary paraffin mixture were studied.The results indicate that the volume expansion coefficient of paraffin increases and reach 13.2% with the temperature changing from 25 ℃ to 61 ℃ and the pressure below 0.36 MPa,and the characteristic curve is almost linear during the solid-to-liquid phase transformation.The influence of pressure on thermal expansion characteristics of paraffin is very little under the used pressure of spring.The paraffin with different melting points can be selected as the expansive material of paraffin actuator according to the demand of control system.
