    Gelcasting Process of Carbon Materials Using Mesocarbon Microbeads as Carbon Source

    • 摘要: 以中间相炭微球为碳源,丙烯酰胺为凝胶体系,采用凝胶注模成型工艺制备炭坯体材料;设计了分批添加炭微球结合球磨处理以提高浆料中固相含量的方法;研究了凝胶注模成型工艺对炭微球浆料分散性、黏度、固相含量、凝胶反应及固化和干燥过程的影响.结果表明:在水基浆料中添加相对中间相炭微球质量分数为1%的分散剂,调节pH值到13时,浆料中的颗粒均匀分散、稳定存在;采用分批添加和球磨处理可以增大浆料中的固相含量,最高达到75%,此时浆料的黏度最大,为1.822 Pa·s;随着引发剂用量的增大,诱导时间和凝胶反应时间急剧缩短,而催化剂用量对其影响不大,最终选择每30 mL浆料添加0.4 mL引发剂,0.6 mL催化剂为宜;浇注前浆料充分真空除气以及干燥起始阶段用酒精置换温坯中的水分是保证炭坯体表面光洁、不开裂的关键因素.

       

      Abstract: In acrylamide gel system mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB) were used as carbon source to prepared carbon materials by gelcasting process.Adding MCMB in batches and ball milling were used to increase the MCMB contents in the sizing.The influences of gelcasting process on the dispersibility,viscosity,solid content and gel reaction,solidification and drying for MCMB sizing were analyzed.The results show that when the dispersant content was 1wt.% of MCMB and the pH value was 13,MCMB particles in the water based sizing distributed evenly and was stable.The solid content in the sizing can be increased after adding MCMB in batches and ball milling treatment,the maximum of which was 75wt.% with the highest viscosity of 1.822 Pa·s for the sizing.Gel induction time and reaction time could reduce quickly when adding more initiator,while the influence of catalyst content was not obvious.Finally,0.4 mL initiator and 0.6 mL catalyst in 30 mL sizing were suitable.Vacuum degassing before casting the sizing and displacement of water in wet green body with alcohol during the initial stage of dry processing were necessary for preparing carbon green body with smooth and crack-free surface.
