Abstract:
The effect of different stabilizers,such as KI,KIO3,PbAc2,KIO3+PbAc2 and KIO3+thiourea,on the stability of electroless plating solution,the morphology and performance of Ni-P coatings on magnesium alloy was studied.The adaptive stabilizer for electroless plating on magnesium alloy was selected.The results showed that the stabilizers could improve the stability of electroless plating solution,but the effectivenesses of stabilization were different for different stabilizers.The quality of Ni-P coatings prepared with the binary stabilizers was superior to those prepared with the single stabilizers.According to the performance of Ni-P coatings,KIO3+thiourea was selected as the adaptive stabilizer for electroless Ni-P plating on magnesium alloy.
