    Mechanical Properties of an Ultra-high Carbon Steel

    • 摘要: 对一种碳含量为1.6%的超高碳钢的组织和综合力学性能进行了研究.结果表明:采用离异共析转变的球化工艺以及随后的正火处理,获得了超细珠光体和颗粒状碳化物的组织.其强度和塑性都有很大提高,并有较高的疲劳强度,屈服强度和抗拉强度分别为980 MPa和1 470 MPa,比40CrNiMo钢的强度提高很多,塑性与其相当,是一种优良的结构钢材料.

       

      Abstract: Microstructure and mechanical properties of an ultrahigh carbon steel (UHCS) containing 1.6 wt% carbon were studied.Fine pearlite and grainular carbides are formed through the process of divorced-eutectoid transformation (DET) followed by normalizing.The UHCS has excellent strength,toughness and high fatigue limit.Yield strength and tensile strength of the UHCS are higher than those of 40CrNiMo.Its elongation is as higher as that of 40CrNiMo.So the UHCS is a very excellent structural steel.
