    Wear of Tool with TiAlN Coating in High-speed Milling of Particle Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composites

    • 摘要: 使用YS8硬质合金TiAlN涂层立铣刀分别对SiC颗粒和Al2O3颗粒增强铝基复合材料进行高速铣削试验,结合切削过程对刀具磨损形式、微观磨损形貌以及磨损机理进行了分析.结果表明:磨粒磨损、涂层脱落和微崩刃是涂层刀具的主要磨损形式;增强颗粒尺度越大,刀具微观磨损划痕和微崩刃凹坑越明显;涂层刀具铣削颗粒增强铝基复合材料不具备优势.

       

      Abstract: High-speed milling experiments of SiC/Al and Al2O3/Al composites were performed with TiAlN-coated carbide YS8 end-mill.The main wear mode,wear morphology and wear mechanism were analyzed.The results show that abrasive wear,coating spallation and ting tipping were the main wear modes of the tool with coating.The larger the reinforced particles were,the more obvious the scratch marks and tipping surface hollows were.Tool with coating used in high-speed milling showed no advantages.
