Abstract:
304 stainless steel coating was deposited on industrial IF steel by a cold gas dynamic spraying technology, and vacuum heat treatment was applied to the coating to study the effects of the treatment on microstructure, bond strength, hardness and corrosion resistance of cold-sprayed 304 stainless steel coating. The results show that recovery and recrystallization happened after the as-sprayed 304 stainless steel coating was heat-treated at 1 000,1 100 ℃ for 2 h in vacuum, the distortion degree and hardness of the coating decreased and the coating was more compact. After vacuum heat treatment at 1 100 ℃ for 2 h, the hardness of the 304 stainless steel coating achieved 200 HV0.2. Vacuum heat treatment made the corrosion potential of the 304 stainless steel coating increased to -240 mV from -319 mV(SCE) in as-sprayed state, and the coating showed good corrosion resistance.
