Abstract: The fracture failure of rollers developed by a certain factory was analyzed.The material and mechanical property of rollers were examined with metallography,SEM and EDS.The results show that the service life fluctuation of rollers mainly related to the material quality.The early failure of roller was also influenced by maching processing.Based on the study of manufacturing technology of rollers,some methods of increasing the service life of rollers have been provided.
