Development and Property of Antifriction Plate for Steam Generator of Nuclear Power System
-
Abstract
With modified grey iron as substrate, assembled with graphite as lubrication material, the grey iron/graphite composite antifriction plate was designed and developed according to the requirement of steam generator in a nuclear power plant, and the microstructure analyzation, mechanical test and friction test were carried out. The results show that the compressive yield strength of the modified grey iron was 790 MPa; the ultimate bearing capacity of the antifriction plate was 49 770 kN, providing the efficient support for the steam generator of nuclear power. When rubbing under the load less than 6 500 kN for 1 000 times, the friction coefficient of the antifriction plate was stable and below 0.15; the wear value was also less than 0.13 mm, indicating excellent bearing capability and antifriction performance. The values of friction coefficient and wear loss both reached the technical requirement.
