Mechanical and Friction and Wear Properties of Rubber Composites with Different Solid Lubricants
-
Abstract
The fiber-reinforced NBR/SBR composites with different solid lubricants (flake graphite, ultra-high molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene, nylon 6, silicone grease and white antifriction agent) were prepared. The vulcanization, mechanical properties, friction and wear properties of rubber composites were studied. The results show that the rubber composite with ultra-high molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene lubricant had the best comprehensive vulcanization property. When the lubricant was flake graphite, the Shore hardness and tensile strength of the composite were the highest. When the lubricant was ultra-high molecular weight polytetrafluoroene, the dynamic friction factor, fluctuation amplitude of the dynamic friction factor stability, wear rate and difference value of the dynamic friction factor in dry/wet environments were the lowest, which were 0.27-0.29, 2%, 1.4×10-7 g·J-1, 0.01, respectively, indicating that the wear resistance and alternating dry/wet environment stability was the best.
