Effect of Annealing Time after Rolling on Microstructure and Mechanical and Damping Properties of Rolled ZK60 Magnesium Alloy

    • Annealing at 350 ℃ was conduct on large-strain rolled ZK60 magnesium alloy, and the effect of annealing time (0-3 h) on the microstructure, damping properties and mechanical properties was studied. The results show that as the annealing time after rolling increased from 0 to 3 h, static recrystallization degree of ZK60 magnesium alloy increased, the average grain size increased from 6.86 μm to 23.35 μm, dislocation density decreased from 3.539 1×1015 m -2 to 1.336 8×1015 m-2, (0002) base face texture strength decreased from 12.782 to 1.715, tensile strength decreased from 309 MPa to 291 MPa, and percentage elongation after fracture increased from 22.60% to 28.60%. When the strain amplitude was less than 0.01, the annealing after rolling had little influence on the alloy damping performance; when the strain amplitude was greater than 0.01, the damping performance of the annealed alloy after rolling increased with the extension of the annealing time.
