    Research Progress on High Temperature Friction and Wear Properties of High Entropy Alloy

    • High entropy alloy is a multi-principal element alloy composed of five or more equal amounts metallic elements. Due to the high-entropy effect, slow diffusion effect, lattice distortion effect and multi-component synergy effect, high entropy alloy exhibits excellent high-temperature stability and wear resistance, and is used in the manufacturing of hot-end components of aircraft engines, gas turbines, and nuclear energy equipmen, etc. The research progress on high temperature friction and wear performance of high entropy alloys is reviewed. The influence of composition design, preparation process and service temperature on high temperature friction and wear performance is summarized. The shortcomings of the existing research are pointed out and the future research directions are outlined.
