Effects of Heat Treatment Processes on Tensile Properties of 22Cr Duplex Stainless Steel

    • The effect of heat treatment processes on tensile properties of 22Cr duplex stainless steel was studied, and the corresponding fractography was analyzed. The strength and the plasticity of the steel have complicated correlation when the solution temperature is in the range of 950℃ and 1 150℃.When solution treatment temperature is 950℃ and 1 150℃,the strength of the specimens is higher than that of solution treatment at 1 050℃,but the plasticity decreased. After solution treatment at 1 150℃,aging at 850℃ led the increase of the strength and dramatic decrease of the plasticity. After solution treatment at 1 150℃,aging at the temperature of 475℃ makes remarkable rise of the strength, but less decrease of the plasticity. The fracture surface of the steel shows that the dimples are predominant after solution treatment. The facet and the second fracture existe on the fracture surface after aging at 850℃.The dimples with local cleavage areas are found on the fracture surface of specimens after ageing at 475℃.
