Mechanical Properties and Fracture Behaviors of FeMnSiCrNi Shape Memory Alloy Solution Treated at Different Temperatures

    • The mechanical properties and the fracture behaviors of FeMnSiCrNi shape memory alloy(SMA) solution treated at different temperatures were studied by microstructure observation and mechanical experiments. The experimental results show that two steps of plastic deformation associated with stress induced martensite phase transformation and slippage of martensite itself existed in the tensile process of the Fe-based alloy. And the alloy has a fine mechanical properties when the solution temperature is 1 000 ℃.The fracture mechanism of the Fe-based SMA sample is ductile fracture with tiny hole gathering, and the main character of the fracture section is a great quantity of dimples.
