Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of ZK60 Magnesium Alloy Sheets Processed by Equal Channel Angular Rolling

Equal channel angular rolling(ECAR) was applied to prepare ZK60 magnesium alloy sheets.The orientation of the sheets processed by ECAR was changed and the crystal orientation evolved from (0002) basal orientation to non-basal orientation.Compared with directional rolled sheets through 1 pass,the grain size was not refined and a lot of parallel twins were presented,and the strength of the sheets processed by ECAR 1 pass was improved from 271.7 MPa to 328.3 MPa,but the elongation to failure was decreased from 25.5% to 8.5%.
