    Improvement on Heat Treatment Process of Engine Damper

    • The reason is analyzed about the low toughness of 42CrMoA engine damper after modified treatment production and the primary heat treatment is improved in this article.The quenching temperature is raised from 850 ℃ to 870 ℃ with the same holding time and the cooling-down method is changed from oil cooling to water-oil quenching in the new process.It is proved that the impact ductility of the part is significantly improved and the impact absorbing energy can reach a value of 78 J.
