    Preparation of Phenolic Resin-based Frictional Material Reinforced by Fibrillar Palygorskite

    • Phenolic resin-based friction materials were manufactured with the mixture of fibrillar palygorskite,needle like wollastonite,Kevlar fibre and steel fibre as reinforcer.The friction coefficient,wear rate and impact strength of the materials were studied.The results showed that the friction coefficient was suitable,stable and remained at the range of 0.35-0.50.The wear-resisting performance was good and especially at high temperatures the wear rate was slight.The impact strength of the material satisfied the requirement of GBn257-1986.
