    Friction and Wear Properties of High Alloy Tool Steel HGSF01 Produced by Spray Forming

    • The friction and wear properties of HGSF01 high alloy tool steel manufactured by spray forming-forging (SF-F),electroslag remelting (ESR) forging (ESR-F) and ESR were compared by using SRV Ⅳ friction and wear tester.The influences of friction velocity and load on the friction and wear properties of SF-F steel and its wear mechanism were studied in detail.The results show that the properties of SF-F steel were better those of ESR-F and ESR.The friction factor of the SF-F steel increased with the increase of friction velocity when the load was low,but first increased and then decreased when the load was high.The friction factor increased with the load increase as the friction velocity was certain.The wear loss of SF-F steel increased with increasing the friction velocity and the load.The main friction and wear mechanisms of the steel were abrasive wear and adhesive wear.
