    Performance Improvement of Interdigitated Electrodes Piezoelectric Fiber Composites

    • Interdigitated electrodes piezoelectric fiber composites (IDEs) are new members of 1-3 piezoelectric composites.In order to improve the performance of IDEs,the software ANSYS was used to analyze the strain affected by piezoelectric and polymer.The actuation performance of IDEs could be improved efficiently by selecting piezoelectric and polymer with low Youngs modulus and high Poisson ratio.The permittivity of polymer was more important to actuation performance and high permittivity could improve strain more.
